Well, the new year is now well underway. Personally, I am now back at Western University, with the intention of completing my Masters degree by the end of this term. For any of you who have gone back to school after being away for a while, I will tell you that it is quite an experience — I have had to re-learn how to write essays, which I’m actually pretty good at but still — new styles, new formats, etc.
Town Council is now fully moving foward with the new arena/library complex. It is going to be quite the job to get ourselves ready to put the shovel in the ground in the spring of 2013 — consult, design, discuss, redesign … This project is one of the largest the municipality has ever undertaken, at least from a dollar perspective. I think it is also fair to say that all of us on Council are excited and looking forward to working with the community to make these new facilities become a reality.
Dianne Rintjema and I have taken quite a few calls about burnt out street lights, etc. — if you see any that require fixing, please don’t hesitate to get ahold of one or the other of us. Or use the form on the Town’s website to report the problem.
On that note, on this cold and snowy day — have a great day 🙂
