My son Scott is working at Ball’s Falls this summer and asked if I would post this for him. This will be a fun event for our community!
Step into Niagara’s Nature at the Ball’s Falls Nature Festival
Mark your calendar and plan to spend the day at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area on Sunday July 8, 2012. Over 20 organizations will be on hand to help you discover and learn about nature, the environment and exciting recreational opportunities. Join the Bruce Trail Club for hikes, learn to observe the sun through telescopes, discover the Toronto Zoo’s Adopt-A-Pond program, pot a plant with the Lincoln Garden Club, and much more!
This is a perfect outing for the entire family. Children can take part in activities and crafts, including casting a reel and creating a pinecone bird feeder. Don’t miss our speaker series in the historic church, featuring experts in the field. Topics will include: butterflies, turkey vultures, astronomy and conservation.
The Nature Festival will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 8th 2012. Regular day use admission fees apply: $5.75 per adult; $4.25 for seniors/students; $18 per car load; children 5 and under are free.
